My friend's nephew, Miggy, is one of the best people I've ever met. His eyesight makes mine look sharpshooter worthy. When we first talked he asked me some questions about my vision that weren't idiotic like most people ask. Then later we joked about each other being blind. The kid has been going to college for the past couple years to earn teaching credentials. This previous summer he was a counselor at a camp for children with disabilities. Everything he ever did in life came hard. I'm saying this because I know a lot of people aren't aware what 'heart' is. They just live in a simple, coddled bubble performing the same repetitive tasks while mildly complaining about how life sucks. I'm really grateful I got to meet Miggy, because, fuck, seeing someone else persevere while you're struggling can be cathartic, maybe even inspirational, especially when nearly everyone around you sleeps in silk pajamas and has perfectly erect backs. Miggy was 23. He passed away last night from an epileptic seizure. He was one of the best people I ever met.
